Summer family fun on the south coast

Long lazy days, barefoot beach ambles, alfresco picnics and safe and sheltered sea swims, all for the taking.

Summer is a splendid time on the south coast of Cornwall and particularly here at The Nare. Long lazy days, barefoot beach ambles, alfresco picnics and safe and sheltered sea swims are all for the taking in this special part of the county with its own unique microclimate.

This summer The Nare has some great bespoke family-friendly activities on the south coast, suitable for all generations. The reservations team would be delighted to handcraft these into a memorable family holiday for your whole family.

Summer ideas:

Enjoy a day on Alice Rose, The Nare’s traditional gentleman’s motor launch - swimming, picnicking and simply enjoying a relaxing family day upon the water.

Make the most of a private tennis lesson (either one-on-one or as part of a group) on The Nare’s court with local pro. Suitable for those who simply wish to brush up on their skills, have someone to practise with as well as complete beginners and children.

Inspired by The Nare’s own spy novel, To Snare A Spy’, take on a covert spy mission. OPERATION SNARE is suitable for all of the family.

Follow the coastal path and The Nare’s concierge will deliver your bespoke picnic hamper (or transport you to the perfect spot with your picnic bundle in tow).

Engage in a private art lesson with The Nare’s artist-in-residence, a great activity for all of the family.

Following this year’s Coronation challenge, continue The Nare’s tradition of a perpetual summer sandcastle competition.

Enjoy The Nare’s bespoke Fish & Trips to catch a mackerel from St Mawes.

Muck around on kayaks from Carne Beach or take part in an expedition on the Percuil River via Roseland Paddle and Sail.

Safe and gently swim in the sea on the sandy Carne Beach or in the hotel’s indoor or warm outdoor hotel pools.

Naturally, The Nare’s chauffer service is on hand to transport resident guests to various local attractions should they wish, such as, world renowned sites such as The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
