The Nare is the 5 star country house hotel by the sea and Cornwall's highest rated luxury hotel. Renowned for its traditional, unobtrusive service and spectacular sea views over Carne Beach, the hotel offers standards of comfort and service that are increasingly difficult to find.
The Nare is set in some 8 acres and features 41 spacious rooms and suites, a traditional dining room, the fine dining Quarterdeck restaurant, and a comprehensive range of leisure facilities including tennis court, croquet lawn, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a health spa, and a classic 38’ motor launch, Alice Rose.
The addition of The Nare's new Whittington Suites - four exceedingly comfortable and spacious sea view suites at the western end of the hotel - means there are more opportunities for waiting staff to join the well-established team, from commis to Chef de Rang positions.
The role of waiter / waitress at The Nare is a great opportunity to further develop a career in hospitality. Successful candidates will be working in The Nare's traditional Dining Room offering guests the finest levels of silver service. There may also be an opportunity to work in the hotel's fine dining restaurant, The Quarterdeck, which offers more contemporary cuisine and operates at a faster pace.
Candidates will work as part of a professional team and be expected to work evenings and weekends. Training will be provided but candidates will need to be dedicated to their own career to prosper here - full commitment is expected.
This is a very high-quality operation and accordingly, candidates must have a significant aspiration to work at a premium hotel. Whilst on one level this is a traditional business, on the other it is progressive, and candidates should be able to demonstrate a contemporary outlook on life and have the ability to adapt to a fast-moving, busy operation.
Limited live in accommodation is available but for those who live out, a car will be necessary due to the hotel's remote location and limited transport links.
