Short Garden Breaks
Cornwall has a mild sub-trpical climate due to its geographical location on the edge of the Gulf Stream. The great plant hunters of the previous centuries realised this significant factor and as a result Cornish Gardens are today considered some of the most famous in the world. The historic nature of these gardens are a testiment to their founder families and gardeners and a tribute to those who nurture them today. Tickets to many of Cornwall's beautiful gardens are available from Reception throughout the year. The Nare, being on the south coast, is conveniently located for many of these beautiful gardens and our Spring Garden Breaks are designed to enable you to see these gardens at their best.
Our Spring Garden Breaks run from February to May every year. Stay at The Nare for four nights and visit three gardens of your choice. Remember that Spring begins earlier here than the rest of mainland Britain. February and March are the best time to see amazing displays of camelias and magnolias, April and May brings spring bulbs, rhododendrons and azaleas whilst June and July sees spectacular displays of hydrangeas, agapanthus and summer planting.
In addition to the general access of gardens open to the public The Nare is able to arrange private guided tours to some of Cornwall's most spectacular privately owned botanical gardens, such as Tregothnan, Caerhays and Trewithen. Please do enquire about these bespoke arrangements.
Spring Garden Breaks begin in February 2010 with prices starting at £519 per person. The break comprises of four nights accomodation, dinner, breakfast, early morning tea, afternoon cream tea and VAT. This also includes tickets to three gardens of your choice.
