Cornwall's Festivals take place throughout the year

Event Breaks

Seafood Weekend Break

The 2009 Falmouth Oyster Festival takes place from the 15th to the 18th of October 2009.  It celebrates the start of the oyster dredging season, the diversity and quality of Cornish Seafood and in particular, one of the last remaining traditional oyster fisheries, dredging by sail and hand punt.

The Nare is offering a three night break from Friday 16th October, inclusive of dinner, room and breakfast, early morning tea, afternoon Cornish cream tea and VAT.  There will be a talk on Oysters by Robbie Wing, one of The Nare's longstanding fish mongers,on the Friday evening. Robbie founded Wing's in the fishing village of St. Mawes over 25 years ago and is still heavily involved with the day-to-day running of the business and supplies the very best fresh fish, supported by demonstrations by our own Head Chef, Richard James.  Spend either the 17th or 18th visiting the Festival at your leisure, and enjoy a trip to the National Maritime Museum, as well as the many events and activities in the Festival programme.

Travel via the King Harry Ferry, an iconic part of Cornwall's history. Established in 1888, it connects St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula with Feock, Truro and Falmouth by avoiding the alternative 27 mile route through Truro & Tresillian.

Prices start from £468.00 per person in one of our comfortable country view rooms.  For further information, please call Reservations on 01872 50 11 11.
